Estimates & Invoices
Canvo takes you from quote to cash without re-typing anything: estimates become jobs, and completed jobs become invoices.
Building an estimate
Section titled “Building an estimate”From a customer or property, click New Estimate and add line items for each piece of work — for example “60 ft Oak removal”, “Stump grinding”, or “Crown thinning”. For each line, set:
- Description
- Quantity
- Unit price
- Optional discount
Canvo totals everything and applies your default tax rate. You can add notes and terms that appear on the customer’s copy.
Sending and approval
Section titled “Sending and approval”Send the estimate and the customer gets a secure link — no account needed. They can approve or decline online, and you’re notified either way. Approved estimates are ready to schedule.
Converting to a job
Section titled “Converting to a job”Approved estimate? Click Convert to Job. The property, customer, and line items carry over, so you just drop it on the calendar and assign a crew. See Jobs & Scheduling.
Creating an invoice
Section titled “Creating an invoice”When a job is Completed, generate an invoice from it. The completed work flows in automatically. You can adjust line items before sending — handy when the final scope differed from the estimate.
Getting paid
Section titled “Getting paid”Send the invoice with an online payment link so customers can pay by card. The invoice status updates automatically:
- Sent — delivered, awaiting payment
- Paid — payment received
- Overdue — past the due date
Tracking what’s owed
Section titled “Tracking what’s owed”The Invoices list shows outstanding balances at a glance, so you always know who still owes you and can follow up.
